The story behind the new Euca Website unique Australian Art work. The team at Euca hopes you like our new “Australiana” website look and feel. This artwork was lovingly recreated so spectacularly by Patricia from pjpaintings.com.
Patricia creates an array of very delicate and finely hand-painted Australian art from her studio in Hobart Tasmania. You can also find Patricia and her art at the famous Salamanca Markets in Hobart on a Saturday as well, so pop in and say hello next time you are there. We invite you to visit Patricia’s website pjpaintings.
Let us know which piece you like the best on our new site, for me, I adore the Wombat Patricia has created. We hope you enjoy her beautiful artwork as much as we do!

About the Artist
Patricia Hopwood-Wade (Pj Paintings)
Why emus? This is a question I am often asked. When our workplace was being re-structured, I thought to myself, we need something in our office that will make us smile. I painted an emu. The feedback I received from that first emu painting was extraordinary. As it didn’t let up, I thought to myself, I’m not the only one who wants to look at a painting and smile. So, I painted more emus doing emu things and made my motto “helping put smiles on faces”.
Since then, I have branched out and now paint realistic Australian animals and birds, whimsical scenes and so some urban sketching. My work has been exhibited in numerous Tasmanian exhibitions and many paintings have been sold to private collections in Australia and abroad. I have received several People’s Choice and Highly Commended Awards, and in 2015, I was a finalist in a national illustration competition. My images have featured on furniture, puzzles and a children’s book.
My prints are printed in Tasmania on high quality 310gsm William Turner watercolour print paper with archival fade-free inks (guaranteed for over 60 years). The watercolour texture often brings generates the question, “is this an original”?
Currently, my work is available at Art as Mania, Artefacts and Peppercorn Galleries in Tasmania, in addition to my online and Salamanca Market (site 30) platforms.
