The birds are chirping, the lavender is flowering and the longer days bring sunshine that engulfs every corner of our homes. For some of us, it might be time to break open the windows, clean up, spruce up and start spring cleaning. Throughout the colder seasons, understandably, we often neglect a few of our cleaning habits. Never fear, Euca are here to help you tackle cleaning like a pro. Cut through grime and grease with these 7 Spring Cleaning Tips: Cleaning Tip 1: Always start your spring cleaning with the jobs you dislike most. For myself personally, it’s the seemingly endless windows in my home. Make sure you take to the outside and inside of the glass windows! Euca Professional Tip? Now this might sound strange, but what we do (myself and others from the Euca Team) is we use Lightning Flash Wash on all of the external glass, windows & sliding doors. Yes, we know its a car wash. However, it's designed to remove dirt easily and leaves a streak free finish on duco, so it works a treat on glass.
Finish your internal glass the with a streak free glass cleaner during the spring cleaning season. Be sure to remove the spots and smudges that you usually don’t have time to tackle. Euca Professional Tip? Wash windows on a cloudy day to ensure that the sun won't dry the glass cleaner too quickly. Try Lightning Flash Wash & Euca’s Glass Cleaner for a superior, fast & streak free cleaning of your windows. Cleaning Tip 2: The household dishwasher is often used, abused and forgotten when it comes to cleaning. This heavy-duty cleaning appliance works hard, day in and day out to remove tomato sauce stains off your dinner plates and make your wine glasses sparkle. Don’t forget you need to clean it! Firstly, remove any gunk or food from the bottom of the machine. Then, run a cycle with a commercial grade blend made using all Australian eucalyptus oil which has superior cleaning and deodorising properties. We recommend Euca Dishwashing Powder previously known as “Euca Dish Genie”. Cleaning Tip 3: Kitchen Cabinets: Over winter, build-up can collect on your kitchen cabinets — especially if you forget to run the exhaust hood over your range while you cook which keeps grease from settling. To cur straight through the grease and grime quickly, you can try an all purpose cleaner for bench tops, black glass cook tops & hard surfaces such as the Euca Universal. Euca Universal is great for cleaning bench tops, inside cupboards and cupboard doors. Cleaning Tip 4: Having stainless steel in your kitchen looks amazing….when it is dust free, shining, bright and clean! To ensure your surfaces sparkle again, we suggests using a specialty spray, like Euca Stainless Steel and all Metals Cleaner & Polish once or twice a week. Make sure you don't put on too much or you might leave the surface cloudy & grimy. Cleaning Tip 5: Bedding! ZzzzZZzzz. Pillows, mattress protectors and comforters should not be forgotten. No doubt you wash things like pillowcases and sheets every one - two weeks. Don’t neglect your other fluffy sleeping accessories which should be thrown into your washing machine two to three times per year. [Always read your label for best practise washing instructions]. Try Euca Softwash for the best care when washing all of your delicates and woollens including pillows, doonas & bedding. So, as you're washing your bedding and winter woollens to put them safely away for next winter, you can rest assured that Euca Soft Wash will protect your clothes as it does not remove the lanolin naturally in the wool which is necessary for longevity of the wool and to keep you warm. Cleaning Tip 6: Your Washing Machine. Don't wash your clothes in a mouldy or stinky machine. Instead, keep it fresh and high-functioning. Run the machine with hot water, then add the cleaning agents, and let it sit for 30 to 60 minutes. Afterwards, restart your machine, let the water drain, and wipe it dry. Euca’s Laundry Products actually clean and protect the inside of your machine, so it lasts longer and smells fresh as well. Cleaning Tip 7: Often used at least daily throughout winter to create warm hearty meals, it might be time to clean your oven? If you have started to smell something burning when you turn on your oven, it might be time to give it a deep clean. First, chip off loose pieces from your range, then spritz burnt-on food with ammonia. Sprinkle baking soda and a few drops of white vinegar on the bottom, let it bubble up, then whisk away the grime with a sponge. Euca have a great range of oven cleaning products you can consider!
